Irshad Manji on the Shortcomings of Islam.

How can you disagree to that? Look around you. We're having a problem, my fellow Malaysian. We're not 7th century. Even Islam started off from a reformation. A reformation from the Jews and the Christians. We have to change. We have to change back to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) ways. We're not changing the fundamental of Islam or the real concept of Islam. But we're changing our own-selves, inwardly. Our heart. The real concept of Islam that we're missing out on. The Ihsan. They hid it from us, that is our strength. Where is the love? Where is the compassion? Where is the tolerance? Do you really think the prophet hates and reacts violently. No, because he understands Tawheed.

The Prophet said: “A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue or his hands.”(Bukhari, Book 8, Volume 76, Hadith 491)

Imagine the word Muslim up here is referring to a good person. "A good person is the one who avoids harming good people with his tongue or his hands." Wouldn't that be nice?
